Part of why I love photographing weddings is the beauty of the details. The photographs of these details are the result of months and months of planning this one special day. And then there are the unplanned details-the imperfections that make the day perfect-the candle wax on the floor, the cut cake, and the anticipation of more.

As this year’s wedding season is at a pause, I reflect on those wedding days and wanted to share my favorite photographs in a two part series: moments and details. Interwoven these two elements tell a story. Dissected each enlighten as well as enliven our hearts as we feel so much love on this special day.

New Cousins

A few ago I met my new cousins at the Austin Bergstrom airport. Katy and James spent three weeks in China picking up Ellie and Olivia and were ready to be home. The grandparents and I greet Katy and James as they arrived. I am so thrilled for the new additions to our family. Meet Olivia and Ellie.

I snapped some pictures of the beautiful and photogenic Mrs. Nashielly Stein before her big day at the flower filled Springdale Farm located in East Austin. Owners (and fellow Aggies) Paula and Glenn graciously opened their gates of their farm for our pictures. It’s so amazing- a 5 acre property with rows of vegetables and flowers amongst huge pecan trees and ducks. It’s such a nice little get away from city life.
